Meet our Board of Directors:

Elliot Pernula - Chairman

I married my lovely bride Olivia in 2005, and since then, the Lord has blessed us with five children. I have been privileged to serve in the Army in various capacities and have deployed to the Middle East three times.

I am an outdoorsman, an Awana ministry leader, and a graduate of Regent University. However, more than any of these things, I am a follower of Jesus. I am saved by grace, through faith, and in that, the Groves have played in instrumental part in my journey with Christ. My family and I were blessed through the Groves family’s ministry as they supported my family when I was deployed, embraced us when we experienced difficult times, and spurred us on while God used us in ministry at Liberty Chapel at Fort Campbell and other locations. I proclaim the inerrancy of Scripture and am glad to be part of this ministry!

Dr. Lanny J. Groves - Executive Director

I served 4 years as an infantryman in the US Army, separating from the military after Desert Storm in 1991. After giving my life to Christ, I found a great pull to go back to the military, this time as a missionary. I married Stacey in 1998, and shortly afterwards, we moved to Korea with Cadence International to do hospitality ministry at Camp Humphreys. During my years there, I completed a Masters degree, and worked toward a D.Min the following years. We then served the Navy and Air Force in Rota, Spain, then back to the Army with the 101st at Fort Campbell. In 2021, we followed the Lord's direction to start a new ministry, Shiloh Military Ministries, and we continue to open our home to the military community here at Fort Campbell under the leadership of SMM.

Robert 'Bob" Fritzlan - Treasurer

Over 45 years of experience in the banking industry including being a banker, a bank regulator and a consultant. Believer and follower of Jesus Christ. Colson Fellow graduate. Ministry experience in Sunday School teaching, VBS teaching, prison ministry for both inmates and their children, mentor relationship with former prisoners, teaching and security for Celebrate Recovery, and military ministry with a military base Celebrate Recovery program and Shiloh Military Ministries.

SSG Adam Davis (ret.) -Secretary

I was born and raised in northern California. I joined the Army right out of high school and shortly after that my wife Mary and I got married. I was stationed/lived in Korea, Fort Drum NY, For Jackson SC, Fort Bliss TX, Fort Campbell KY. And upon retirement in 2019 I entered the real estate field and have been doing it full time ever since. My wife and I have 1 daughter and and currently live in Clarksville TN. We have been attending the Grove’s ministry since we arrived at Ft. Campbell KY in 2017.

I was raised in a christian household, but like most young men I drifted far away from christ once I was out on my own. It was many years later and a lot of hardship before I turned back to Christ. I am an avid outdoorsman like many others here at SMM.

Danny began his journey with Shiloh Military Ministries in 2015 when he and his family attended the Shiloh Ridge Hospitality House with the Groves at Fort Campbell, KY. He has served in ministry for 15 years and has served as an Army Chaplain since 2012. Danny has conducted ministry with Soldiers all across the nation and deployed several times to the Middle east.
