Frank and Ruth Ann Branham

Fort Carson, Colorado

Frank and Ruth Ann currently minister to the Soldiers at Fort Carson, Colorado, through weekly Bible studies, hospitality, outings, and one on ones. Their desire is to meet Soldiers’ needs for fellowship and to encourage them in their walk with the Lord and their outreach to fellow Soldiers.

Their Story:

Frank accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior when he was six years old. When he was eight, his family moved from Illinois to Colorado Springs, where he grew up. His family attended Mesa Hills Bible Church where he grew to love the Lord. While attending Western Bible College in Morrison (Denver), CO, Frank learned of Cadence International, and after graduating from Western, the Lord led him to join that mission in 1977.

Ruth Ann trusted the Lord as her Savior at seven years of age in a Sunday School class in Lakewood, Colorado, where she grew up. She was blessed to grow up in a Christian home and set her sights on Bible college while she was in high school. Her desire was to prepare for ministry in service to the Lord, which was perfect preparation for meeting Frank and joining him in ministry to the military. She graduated from Western (which later became part of Colorado Christian University) in 1976.

During Frank’s home assignment after his first term of ministry with Cadence in Subic Bay, Philippines, he and Ruth Ann fell in love and were married in 1980. They were assigned to the ministry at Kadena Air Base (Okinawa, Japan) where their two children, Angela (1982) and Jonathan (1984), were born. After Kadena they served another term in the Philippines – this time as a couple – serving Sailors before spending some time working at the Cadence headquarters. They went from there to a ministry to Soldiers at Fort Lewis, WA for eight years. Their next assignment, at Fort Leonard Wood, MO, included retreat ministry to AIT Soldiers for nine years followed by ministry to permanent party personnel there for another five years. They began their assignment at Fort Carson in 2016, teaming with fellow missionaries until the summer of 2022.

The Branhams joined the staff of Shiloh Military Ministries in the fall of 2022. They love their ministry of teaching the Word of God and mentoring those the Lord brings to them. Additionally, they share their faith and God’s love through the ministry of service to residents in the condominium in which they live. And they love spending time with their daughter’s family (including two grandchildren) who live in Canada.
