Their Story:

Jose and Whitney met while on active duty in San Diego and were married in 1979. As young sailors stationed in Guam they were impacted by a military ministry. Eight years later, during a break in service, they followed in believer’s baptism submitted to the Lordship of Christ and committed their lives to serving Him. Following Jose’s retirement from the Navy in 1999, he worked as a Defense Contractor while he and Whitney completed their courses at Faith Bible College and homeschooled their children. It has been a special privilege for Jose and Whitney to open their hearts and home to the military community, for eleven years in Norfolk and 17 years at Fort Huachuca. They have four adult children: Liah (Tyler) Gabie, Marcie (Casey), and Lucas (Erica). They also have eight grandchildren: Lance, Andre, Tristan, Timothy, Evelyn, Eloise, Riley, and Myla.
